Results Model

How we get results in life follow from our behaviors and thoughts. By seeing how these interact we can go back and change any of these things to, in turn, change the results we get. Here is the results model:
Event –> Belief –> Emotions –> Behavior –> Results
An event occurs, which causes us to accept of decide something about ourselves – a self belief. That belief causes us to have emotions about situations and life. Our behaviors result from those emotions and subsequently cause our results
For example: As a child in school, you were asked to go up in front of the class and write the word cat on the board. You wrote “KAT” and the class laughed at you. That event caused the self belief that in front of groups you look stupid. Now, your boss asks you to give a presentation and your emotions are fear, anxiety, fpossibly feelings of failure, etc. Your behavior is to avoid it, but that would result in you passing up a promotion. So what do you do?
In hypnotherapy we would revisit the event to see it in a more positive light causing a different, more positive self belief. This would result in a positive emotion, positive behavior, and result of success. You can take this same principle on your own and with affirmations and positive suggestions reprogram your subconscious with the reversal of the self belief.
